Music schools offer a variety of degrees: Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), Bachelor of Music (BM), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Music (MM) , Master of Arts (MA), Master of Music Education (MME), Doctor of Music (DM), Doctor of Musical Education (DME) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). They also provide the Artist Diploma and Diploma Performer and post-graduate certificate in education, music theory, musicology and library science.
Prospective students begin their musical education with an associate degree in two years in areas such as performance and audio production technology, music, costume construction, technology, strings, and others. Degree concentrations predict the performance and composition.
Graduate certificates and master's and Ph.D. from the School of Music offer a wide range of liberal arts education with a specialization in literature, music, performance, composition and conducting. Education graduate diplomas and certificates to provide for teaching music lessons in schools and colleges, and may require a bachelor's degree in music or entertainment as well as teaching experience and a teaching license.
Production programs in music schools teach the concepts and technology of the recording studio and music production at home. The courses include topics of music production, music, electronic sound design, recording and production software, MIDI and sequencing.
Business courses in music schools may include business management, artist management, performance, music and arrangement of music publishing. Getting to work in the music industry, the future of the music industry, and techniques for promoting may also be included.
